PROJECT OVERVIEW

SOLFIRE an epic music festival featuring three genres over three days. Hosted in Jax Beach, Florida on March 15, 16 & 17 2024. Experience timeless ROCK, irresistibly fun POP tunes and EDM beats that pump you up.

project concept

Solfire was created to showcase a full visual system of a brand. The music festival is based in one location with the event lasting three days. Each day is a new genre or style of music that is shown by the change of colors and visual elements.

LOgo

Solfire logo is a hand drawn and vectorized wordmark with bold and bubbly lettering. The sun replaces the ‘O’ in the mark representative of the word “sol” meaning sun.

favicon

The favion is a shortened version of the festival name “SOL” and is seen in use across social media pages.

Variation in the logo give the brand the ability to be cohesive, consistent, and recognizable across the many different touchpoints. The letters are inverted dark and the sun symbol changes color based on the background color.

type treatment

Annuario is a variable font which allows you to stretch and squash the lettering. This was perfect for creating a psychedelic feel and variation throughout the entire design system.

color

A blend of pastel and bright colors with a variation of blues and greens were chosen to represent the beach side area in which the festival is taking place. A navy blue is also used for contrast.

visual elements

The visual elements were chosen by listening to each different genre of music and visualizing their form. ROCK is represented with lightning bolts, POP utilizes flowers and EDM uses squiggly vibrating lines.

schedule

A schedule for the day will be given out at the entrance of the festival. Each day the design of the touchpoints will change based off of the music genre. Here we have the schedule for Sunday when EDM music will play. The vibrating lines represent the vibrating pulses of the bass and drum you hear in Electronic music.
